Preparing young children for Elementary school and a lifelong passion for learning

Preschool is when the child’s true personality and independence starts to bloom, it’s important to see the children as small people. Our dedicated preschool teachers encourage that by recognizing each child’s strengths and using them for the children to self-motivate.

Preschool is a very social experience. In our classrooms we teach empathy, conflict resolution, and being part of a community. Using strategies such as role playing, we demonstrate solutions to real life conflicts (relatable to a child). At our school, we justify a child’s feelings and demonstrate problem solving language. We teach children to be pro-active in solving their own problems. Our preschoolers are encouraged to use language to express themselves. All behavior management in our school such as redirecting behaviors, is done through a use of positive guidance. We make sure to go to eye level when interacting with a child so they feel parallel. In addition to the social learning that occurs, this experience provides the academic ‘building blocks’ or foundation for a child’s educational career.

Our curriculum caters to all different learning styles. The children are exposed to foundational math, science, reading, writing, and social science subjects. Children are exposed to English language arts through interaction with children’s literature. In our classroom, children explore math through traditional methods such as workbooks and daily interactive activities.
